To Kill an Atheist

As Non-Believers... If that is what we are calling ourselves today... If we are brought up in a "believer" household; once we are able to comprehend life's journey and understand the direct impact of our decisions, we go through what seems to be our own death. We go through our own death to enlighten ourselves to the reality of what nature has given us.

For those of us who have been through a tragic loss of a loved one, the healing process of death is a long and at times, a very lonely one. First it is the fear of stepping out in the world alone, seemingly for the first time. We are missing something and try our hardest to find it to make life go on as normal as possible. I think the "fear" stage was the shortest stage for myself. I remember feeling if I did not think about the nonexistence of a god, I wouldn't be punished and my family wouldn't either. For the longest time I thought I was the weird one among my family and friends for not believing. Now it is the opposite. They are the weird ones. I know now that I am the right one through my own hard earned reality. Making my own waves, my own footprints in the mud... Not necessarily needing anyone to tell me how to think, just needing someone to point me in the direction of the information to make up my own mind. The fear of being wrong due to ignorance was what the fear was all along. Once my basic questions were being answered in my personal quest for answers, the fear turned into happiness.

Happiness in being able to realize and somewhat comprehend life's secret. My life's secret is laughing, loving and learning. Doing that as much as possible our one and only shot here on this ball of iron and granite. I think about all the billions that came before me and laid down the track for us to live so expressively, somewhat carefree. Our ancestors had to think about predators and where to find their next meal. All the while, only laughing and loving every once in a while. Our lives are somewhat different. We are more able to laugh and express ourselves more artistically than those that came before us, or in some countries, we are lucky to live on a continent so free of expression. I think Atheists forget that today in England and North America we are free to state out loud our science beliefs. We can speak out loud a theory that we have learned about. We can say, "No gods, No masters" without being an outcast, beaten, discriminated against, and killed. I think we forget the struggles of those who came before us so we can have this freedom as we do today. I think that we forget that people are still being persecuted for having a website such as this one. I know my book collection alone would get me and all of my family killed in just about every country in the Middle East. Today we have would-be Atheists and Atheists who remain quiet and willingly ignorant to the information at their fingertips.

Which brings us to the next step of Atheism, my personal favorite... Anger. Anger is the reason for ALL revolutions. Anger is the reason for the beginning to ALL new ways of thinking. I do not think our adrenal glands are as big as they are for no reason at all. We are a part of the animal kingdom. It is our communication that separates and allows us to become renegades... contrarians. Anger is a gift that is rejected or embraced by us. I myself, I embrace anger. I use it to fuel my passion for learning and making my own path in this world of ours. Anger and intellect will guide me to my own opinions and theories about life through my own experiences. Anger and intellect will give me my own reality through diligence and intestinal fortitude that only I can afford myself. I always try to find a lesson to learn through life's experiences. Recognizing my own personal fact that we never make mistakes, only life lessons. A mistake will kill you, a life lesson always teaches you something no matter how big or small.

Then there is closure. Some Atheists have closure quicker than others. I believe some Atheists never attain closure. Honestly, I hope I never have closure with this issue. I enjoy learning about other's superstitions. I enjoy learning about the ways of our ancestors and why they believed and how that belief supposedly brought humanity to this point. Christians and other religions go through what they call a rebirth. I believe we as Atheists go through our own death. We deal with the death of our "soul" so that we can live, love, laugh and attain true reality and happiness.

Why Republicans Scare Me

Rick Santorum

Rick Santorum, what can I say for this useless, walking, talking, waste of human flesh? I know what I would like to say. But! Not here, and most certainly not now. The presidential candidate decided he would announce to the world that he believes a baby produced by rape is a gift from his god. I would like to just say that it has taken me three days to figure out how to tackle this essay without coming off as a pompous prick. There is really no way around it, and honestly I need to embrace my apparent true nature as such. I do not think this may be much of a persuasive essay to most of you who are Republican or Christian or perhaps sadly, both. I want to give you my thoughts on why this man’s statement is so ineptly ignorant and one sidedness  fits into almost every fallacy definition. If I were president, after Santorum made this statement, I would have personally ordered him deported to Iran.

In an interview with Piers Morgan on CNN on January 20, 2012, Rick Santorum was asked how he could take such a callous position on rape or incest victims by essentially forcing these women by law to give birth to these babies. Rick Santorum said, "I believe and I think that the right approach is to accept this horribly created, in the sense of rape, but nevertheless, in a very broken way, a gift of human life, and accept what God is giving to you." What exactly, are we as a nation, supposed to say to that? He goes on to say that this issue is, "not a matter of religious values". Just in case you missed the last line of the last quote… here it is again. It said, “accept what God is giving to you." So in our fallacy definition, this idiot committed, “either or reasoning”. He is trying to force his opinion of abortion down our throats by way of his Roman Catholic belief system. Because of his religious affiliation, he feels as a nation should have to follow that belief. Even though he is pro-death penalty, he is also anti-abortion. Is being an oxymoron a fallacy? Rick Santorum is also “slanting” fallacy, by constantly suppressing the fact that he is pro-death penalty. When the subject comes up of abortion, he relies on all life is precious… unless you are in prison and found guilty by a jury of your peers.

This brings us to yet another fallacy, “over reliance on authority”. Over reliance of authority is used a lot on this Earth. Not only by politicians but by religious leaders and their minions, but also Rick Santorum likes to use the fact that all life is precious and uses his misguided religion to bring it home that his beliefs are correct. Rick Santorum likes to play the “all life is precious” card a lot. But he fails to mention that his god is one of the worst tyrants that supposedly exists on this Earth. If we should base our belief as a nation on the issue of abortion on the Holy Bible, the supposed written word of YHWH (God), then the flood story is proof that God is pro-choice. God aborted every living thing on this Earth because a few thousand humans were being disobedient in his eyes. Is this not a fallacy of “slippery slope”? Did God not commit murder in Rick Santorum’s eyes? Did God commit another fallacy in the flood story, “stereo typing”? God just automatically wipes the Earth clean of 99.9% of animal life including hominids just because of a few bad apples by his innate command. The Abrahamic God’s myth essentially creates us sick and commands us to be well. So if we do wrong, by the beliefs of many Christian fundamentalists, God aborts life all the time. So, how precious is life to this god really?

In the matters of abortion, all matters should lie in the health of the decision making woman. Not some sadistic ignorant politician with a theistic agenda. I think that if Rick Santorum wants to push his twisted ideals on to people with his ancient archaic belief system, he should move somewhere that embraces such fallacies, Iran.

If this man is elected president of these United States of America, I will not be ‘guilty by association” for being a United States citizen. I refuse to live under someone who relies on “over-reliance on authority” by “slanting” his real feelings because he feels his theology is “either or reasoning”. His theology affects his policies by way of “stereo typing” us as if we are all Roman Catholics. His head is somewhere other than in its natural evolutionary position due to his theistic ideology is constantly “begging the question”.

And now a word from this man’s lovely, holy, infallible, omniscient, and omnipotent, morally righteous book a gift to all of mankind… God’s spoken word passed to man. The Holy Bible.

Who's Plan Is It Anyway

So it seems my favorite little douche-bag, Pat Robertson, came out with some more generic Christian rhetoric this week. He said if Peyton Manning had another reoccurring neck injury it would serve the Denver Broncos right... Just because Tim Tebow feels like he has to meditate to the same over-rated God as he, Pat Robertson, he must release some hot air. This pompous wind bag feels that Tim Tebow was being mistreated by Denver. So what! Why should we care what you think about football? I mean the cheerleaders wearing their skimpy little outfits for the drooling men out there should cause an earthquake and kill everyone in the stadium, according to his version of theology. I figured football and its alcohol driven sub-culture would be rather much for him and all of his judgmental statements in the first place. Perhaps I am wrong... Perhaps Pat Robertson and good ol' boy Jimmy Swaggart will do "a line" and a "Jager-Bomb" every Sunday before they watch football? They'll watch football and stare at the scandalous cheerleaders and hope to catch a glimpse of their "dirty parts"...?


My thing here is, whenever things happen to Christians they claim everything happens for a reason. They claim that it is in "God's Plan"... So apparently this is not one of them. Peyton Manning and the Broncos, regardless of their faiths, are condemned to hell! Poor good ol' innocent Tebow must suffer in New York now, just as over-rated as tits on a bull if you ask me. I am a 31 year old lumber grading college student, I could out throw that clown any day of the week. Why hasn't anyone on Fox News asked Patty McDouchebag if maybe he should say it is YHWH's Will to have Tebow go to New York and fade away like he will do. Maybe his next move will be to the CFL and then from there he can go on to a glorious career as a fluffer for Canadian gay porn.


In all seriousness, why is this not in God's plan? Whenever earthquakes and snow storms hit, it is because of something God is punishing a whole nation and/or tribe for. Maybe Tebow did not pray hard enough. Maybe Manning prays harder than Tebow? Maybe Manning is just a better quarterback and has a better chance of a Superbowl victory than a splash-in-the-pan over-rated QB like Tebow. What is going to happen if Tebow goes to NY and he gets traded from there, or what if he gets hurt? I know exactly what ye old Pat will say... He will blame it on all the gays in New York. Where does it end? My assumption to that question will be when he joins his other bigot friend Jerry Falwell at the maggot buffet.

Intelligent Design, by way of Camouflage

So, it seems that religion can not get its sticky little fingers in real schools by way of the famous line, "Because God and the Bible said so". They are sneaking into our schools and children's dreams and thoughts by camouflaging their myths as science. The myth of Intelligent Design theory, or as I like to call it, Developing Ignorance theory is making its way into our public schools by a disguise of bearing facts, but it does not. A school can have a book reviewed and edited by a company that knows nothing of science, and school boards with a creation agenda can approve these books without the parents knowing.


I ran into a similar situation with a daycare center here in the Roanoke Valley. I brought my daughter to the church that housed this daycare. Tax free business under the guise of religion. They charge $220-110 per child, all of monies collected are tax free. They charged just below the average cost of a secular daycare to get more impressionable children to brain wash. The secular daycares come under much more scrutiny than a church managed daycare. The secular daycares struggling to make it while having to pay taxes, while the church and government funded daycares do not pay taxes.


While my daughter was there, they had a coded keypad to get into the door of the church, letting anyone inside at anytime the daycare was operating. Anyone that went to the church had the code. Hence, anyone! Anyone! Anyone, was around the children on a daily basis. Some people like to think that church goers are moral people and would never think of children in a manner that any good parent would prevent. But as we all know, child predators come in all forms and like to fulfill their sick and twisted fantasies under the cloaks of religion and the "Good Word". I will say that the only reason I kept my little girl there was, the director at the time was a great and very intelligent woman, and her teachers were amazing with her! When they would tell me that they loved her and that she was a great girl, I believed them because I trusted them, not only as caretakers of her, but because I had grown to know and love them myself.


After about two years of fun and my little girl really enjoying her time there with the staff and the students, things began to change. The director resigned for her family. She sacrificed her intellect and love for teaching and raising children to direct her attention to her sizable family, I lovingly called it, "Her Squad". Not many people would sacrifice professional satisfaction to take complete and total care of their family, I totally respect and love her for that! So when she resigned many others followed suit. Within the walls of a place for children and their creative natures and minds taking shape, a new theological monster was trying to force their will and ignorance onto the unknowing families and children that attended the daycare.


The new director took all "fantasy" based books and toys from the rooms. If they watched the TV in the rooms, it had to be approved by the Bible Nazis. They were not allowed anything but religious materials while attending the daycare, including books, songs, coloring books, cartoons and teachings. This brainwashing was at all levels, from infants on up to after school aged children.


I know what some of you are thinking, you put your child in a church daycare... What do you expect? If you put your child in a school at all, you receive a curriculum that is taught at every age level, even daycare. You as a parent can read over the curriculum and decide, as a freethinking person if you agree of disagree. These people changed the curriculum without any notice. If you did not ask questions, you would have never known. The "teachers" were not allowed to talk about the change. There were a few teachers who did tell the parents before hand and they were swiftly fired! Teachers with families to raise and bills to pay. One day they had a job, and the next they were fired for something that should have been discussed to the parents before hand. That is Christian love for you.... Jesus was a secretive fellow to... I guess? The woman that fired these people was a person who could not and would not answer any questions about what they were going to teach from the bible. She couldn't even give me her personal opinion on the bible and its teachings. All she could tell people is that she could speak in tongues. My little girl began to cry at night because she wanted to see Jesus, she began to cry about the devil, and hell! I used to laugh at a bumper sticker that said, "Have you threatened your children with eternal damnation today?" Not anymore do I laugh.


I began to ask more and more questions about what they were teaching her and what they were telling her. No one could or would answer due to fears of being fired by the Nazis. I was thinking that I had to get her out of that school before they started burning books in the parking lot and burned me at the stake.


I ended up taking her out of that daycare due to other circumstances. But the lesson to me was, that religious people will try their best to brainwash you and your children, whether it is in your face or behind your back. I think we as parents need to learn and be proactive in what exactly our children are learning. I want my child to know about religions and make her own decision with her own mind. I don't want that decision made by her own natural fear of death. Life is fun when you have an open mind and you keep your mind open. I do not regret having sent my little girl to that daycare, I learned a lot of lessons and I made a lot of friends. One of the main things I learned here is, sociopaths are everywhere. If they are in a room with an Atheist, they will smile and agree with you. When you are gone, they will lie and say the most untruthful things and speak in tongues on Sunday. I wish I could be inside their conscience when the realization that religion is fake and they will be dirt once more. No sorrow from me for their death. Worms have to eat too...

Lunatic, Liar or Camouflage?

Liars can’t live with them, and you could live without them, but who would the Democrats fight with...? Liars seemingly come out of the woodworks to feast on the hard work of the intelligent, the ones forging ahead with integrity, unbreakable with their natural born fortitude. Fortitude only found in a person that without doubt and will never falter like the weak ones that lay in his wake. Standing the ground no matter the weather around him; standing the ground no matter where his truth lies. Until his own truth is known, steadfast.

Blatant liars never comprehend the full extent of impairment to those that surround them, the fictitious world that they alone have built for the weak willed gullible ones that follow them. Their fabricated ways of trying to overlap into this reality, wishing they had the fortitude to build all on their own. Partly because they want the easier way to glory, they want the recognition for themselves and step on everyone else’s hard work and rip-off all others intelligence to pass off as their own. They steal and leach other’s personalities because they lack one of their own. Is it due to sickness or just lack of will on their part to send a ‘search and rescue mission’ for a ‘soul’? Perhaps one or both…? 

A liar is a person that we as society have to deal with on a daily basis. Every time you look into the mirror you see one. We all lie in ways that in some cases we feel remorse. In most cases, we lie and forget all about it. Society refers to them as white lies. Lies we use to get through daily life. Lies to ‘sugarcoat’ and please the masses. Lies that some of us refer to as, ‘tact’. But how useful is tact really? Does it help anyone or the situation that you are in at the time? Quick fix? Patch work? Fear? Sexual lust?

 Lies find their way to you in daily life, it is inevitable. Lies find their way to you because it is human nature to seek the easiest path. What happens when all these little tactless lies catch up to us? Snow ball just turned into the Abominable Snowman, chomping his way through your integrity like a Texas Governor in search of something that doesn’t exist. Like a statement he made to the press while running for president, “If English was good enough for Jesus, then it’s good enough to me!” This statement was made while being questioned about Spanish speaking children in public schools getting their own classroom settings. Now, is he flat out telling a lie? Or is he so stupid that he doesn’t realize that he just said that Jesus of Nazareth spoke English? We all know… Well most of us that are infatuated with Christianity and its disease know that the possible fictitious Jesus of Nazareth spoke Aramaic, a dead language by today’s standards. Jesus’ family’s status also relatively guarantees his illiteracy. So, is George Bush a liar…? No! He is just an idiot! With that being said, people make ignorant and ill-informed statements all of the time. That doesn’t make them liars per say, it just makes us and them wish they kept their inbred mouth shut.

In the Bible, there are many fallacies to hash out and discuss with our families and ourselves. Not only to search for your own meaning to life, but to find your own true personal morality. It is what we all seek as soon as we prove our mortality. I remember when I was little and I figured out my Dad could die… I freaked out! I thought my Dad was superman, and to figure out he was mortal and death is something that we all have to deal with was scary! Why should we have to die, I remember thinking. I think that when we realize our hero’s demise is inevitable, one immediately realizes his or her own. Once we realize our own death will occur, we have to figure out a way around death, cheat or get out of death. What better way to get out of death than a Deity who promises us immortality if we just do what he says in this one and only life on this earth. What better way than a mythical religion. Christopher Hitchens says, “We are created sick and commanded to be well”. The Judaic God creates mankind a so-to-say sinner and commands us not to be sinners or he will set us ablaze and let one of his insolent fallen angels tortures us for all of eternity… The Devil or Lucifer and Hell were not even in existence until the New Testament. So, where did all the people who were toasted in the Biblical cities Sodom and Gomorra sent when they died for being the animals that they naturally were. The Old Testament said that people when they died would go into a deep sleep and go to the “pit”. So, where was Jesus getting his information from? It couldn’t have been his Father, God, because he didn’t know that God was going to sacrifice him for human souls. Sacrifice his own illegitimate son, God is an Incubus by the way, for being the way that he created them to be. Hell is created out of thin air by Jesus so that people would fear him and follow him instead of throwing rocks at him. So in conclusion, Jesus, if he existed at all is a liar. He lied to get respect and love that he most likely couldn’t achieve on his own through his profession, so he made up his own alter ego, just like a man to think that he is greater than what he truly is! Joseph Smith was a Jesus clone. The only difference between the two was Joseph smith was a convicted felon!

I think that in order for us to exist as a society we sometimes have to lie to get through the day. Whether the truth is too tough to handle for the liar or the lied to, it is just something that we have to deal with. The problem is with people who do not know how or when to stop. Like in the story of our fabled Jesus, he is a lunatic and a liar, who alone with his lies and deceit have caused millions of innocent people to die over the choices of a few powerful liars who carry the legacy of treachery to pay the bills or for sexual reasons, like Joseph Smith.

I think that we really need to sit and come to the conclusion as a people, what should you lie about and shouldn’t you lie about. Can we ever do this? No. That is an honest answer to that question. Can we as individuals figure out what we should and shouldn’t lie about? Yes. But here again, will you be honest with yourself. “To thine own self be true.” -Shakespeare.

 Religion highlights the fact that we as animals are encoded to lie. The Bible itself as reality is a huge lie! The Bible as Greek and Jewish folklore or myths, it is great literature.  If you look at nature, every animal lies. It is called camouflage, to outwit and fool your natural predator, or to procure a mate. You just have to figure out what you are going to camouflage yourself as.

This I believe. I believe that we as human beings should rid ourselves of the chains of religion and it’s closed minded, murderous dogma. I believe that religion as a whole is one of the worst legacies that we constantly leave behind for our children to deal with. We try to lead normal and happy lives while feeling as if an omnipotent, omniscient, totalitarian, celestial dictating creator is watching, hearing, memorizing, taking part in and writing down our every move and thought. The worst fictitious big brother known to humankind and with it; fear, torture, death and destruction that never ends. Mistranslations and overzealous actions taken by religious leaders and their followers of the Abrahamic God, including Judaism, Christians, Islam and the Mormons are the sole reason for many of the world’s problems today. All of these religions with the exception of Mormonism came into this world by illiterate men in ancient times. Joseph Smith, the creator of Mormonism was an illiterate felon but did not bring this tall tale into existence until the 1820’s. The Mormon superstition is relatively new to the world.

I believe the existence of God is something that no human can prove or disprove. The creation of deities by humans was our first attempt at philosophies and science. When I look at my world around me, I know why the sky is blue, I know why lightening occurs and I certainly know why earthquakes occur. Religious people have been explaining natural occurrences in our world by way of God(s) for tens of thousands of years. Even today we have religious leaders using spiritual ignorance to explain catastrophes and acts of nature. Pat Robertson, the fanatical leader of The 700 Club, said the reason of the earthquake in Haiti, which occurred in January 2010, was because the Haitians made a pact with the devil to break away from French rule in 1803. He also believes that God sent Hurricane Katrina to punish us for homosexuals! To believe and support the theory that a whole group of people and/or their descendants are punished for the actions of their fellow neighbors, family and fellow countrymen is absolutely absurd. This type of thinking follows right along with majority of Christian theology. The majority of today’s main leaders of the Christian faith have been in line with this type of doctrine. Pat Robertson, Jerry Falwell, Jimmy Swaggart, and Billy Graham, all are guilty of making Anti-Semitic remarks! They truly believe that the Jewish race is to blame for the world’s problems! At the heart of these preposterous claims, the Jewish race is also to blame for the death of Jesus of Nazareth!

The holocaust is one of the most ignorant and horrific tragedies in documented history. Adolph Hitler was a Roman Catholic and believed that the Jewish race was to blame for the death of Jesus of Nazareth. Hitler, with corroboration of the Catholic Church and its leader Pope Pius VII, the nation of Germany tried to ensure the extinction of the Jewish race by way of brutality, brought forth by ignorant religious doctrine, unadulterated hate, and greed. To blame, and then have such an explosion of violence towards a people for something that they had nothing to do with because of a religious doctrine is beyond ignorant, it is sheer stupidity in the rawest form possible!

The Germans would take these people from their dwellings, march them until they could not possibly walk anymore, and force them into slave labor until they dropped dead from exhaustion, starvation and/or dehydration. When the German Army would take over a Jewish town they would bring all the Jews to the center of the town or a field outside of town to begin selection. They would separate them into groups; slaves in one group and the soon to be executed in another. They would beat the fathers and mothers, and shoot the weak, elderly and handicapped. They would then heave these bodies into a pit, douse them with diesel and set the deceased or almost deceased on fire. While the townspeople were watching their neighbors, cousins, fathers, mothers, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, grandfathers, grandmothers, sons and daughters being shot, beaten and their bodies set ablaze in a bloody massacre of body parts. That is when the actual horror begins. The German Army set up their machineguns, and prepare for target practice. The German soldiers pry and rip infants and toddlers from Mother’s and Father’s arms! All while the parents and other family members are begging, crying, pleading and praying to their God for their child’s safe return! The German soldiers lob the not yet weaned infants into the air; the frail and innocent bodies of the Jewish infantile children are no match for the hail of bullets that are so ruthlessly and relentlessly guided in their direction. Not yet able to make a decision on what they believe in this world of ours. Still they bear the harshest penalty for religious ignorance. The lucky ones are shot and killed in mid-air, while others are missed by the hail of bullets and are tossed into the flames alive to be burned and never seen again. Sadly, in some cases, never thought of or loved again. Welcome to your Hell.

The German Army, the Nazi regime brought forth Armageddon to the innocent Jewish people, all because of a superstition, folktales blown out of proportion.  In all of this detestation and ferocity, lie the prayers answered? Over six million Jews along with over 5 million other Europeans who were murdered senselessly under the Nazi regime and not one German soldier reported as turned into a pillar of salt? Where is the morality? All of these and other atrocities done in the name of the Abrahamic God! In the name of the Greek myth Jesus Christ! In discussing this with other people who practice the Christian religion, the popular statement I get is, “God never said life would be easy” or “It is freewill! God gives us freewill!”  What a ghastly, disgusting statement. I would guarantee if you set these people in front of an oversized oven with their children, the aspect of freewill would go straight out the window. The question, “Father, why hast thou forsaken me?” would quickly be brought into the argument for their life.

I believe God is created in man’s image. If god did not create us, we surely would have created him out of shear creativity, not necessity. I believe that we are a very resilient species and highly adaptive to change. We are a very energetic species that needs a constant outlet for our excess energy, and that leads to ambitions in artistic and conquering natures. I believe that if we learned to love one another for which we are and not what we want to be or what we want someone else to be, we would truly find the meaning of life. It’s human nature to look for patterns and fit those patterns into our life to suit our necessities. I believe once you realize that you will only live once and the only reward and punishment you will see is brought upon by yourself and by yourself alone, you will truly live! The only immortality we have is through our children and our descendants. The stories and good deeds that you pay forward in life is what keeps you alive in the hearts and minds of those who love you and those you love for eternity.

We are but a mere blink of an eye in nature’s timeline on this rock that we call Earth. I consider it an honor and a privilege to have tumbled on this rock and live life’s experiences and lessons with you all. I believe that once our brothers and sisters can let go of the superstitions of our ancestors that are brought forth and kept alive by religious leaders, ignorant theologians and thoughtless philosophers, we can begin to love one another for what we are and what we could be. Cherish our life’s journey, not the destination. Then maybe we will have truly evolved into something great. It’s the road less traveled, it will be a tough but fruitful journey, but together with education, respect, rationalism, love and compassion for our fellow humans, we will have set our minds free. Hard work will have truly set us free.

Rape and Religion

Rick Santorum. Wow, What do you say about a statement such as this. Where exactly does he find the right to make such a statement. It doesn't even take courage to make a statement such as that. He has his right to form his own opinion, but statements like that should be kept in the confines of his rapist natured church. He is not a woman. He has never been a rape victim. To heighten this issue, he is a Catholic. By saying that a child by product of rape is a gift from God, he is saying, God sent the rapist to glorify her with His presence and ensure procreation by violence, that he so loves in the Bible. He most likely blames the woman for the rape too. Way to take care of your people 'Douchesantorum'. For those who don't know, that is Truenutz Latin for, "better off as maggot food."


No wonder why, Thou shalt not rape isn't one of the 10 Commandments. The lord your God is real concerned with only worshiping him, but rape and pillage as you please. Here... It is a gift from God. A constant reminder of you being violated for absolutely no other reason than you have a vagina. I wonder if he would feel as if a child like that was a gift from God if his wife or daughter was raped and was impregnated? He most likely wouldn't have the intestinal fortitude to have the child aborted. He would just kick her down the stairs like any other religious psycho would do. Or perhaps a rusty old coat hanger would do the trick. He would rather murder by default than make an actual rational decision. It is because of people like him, religious people murder their wives or husbands instead of getting a divorce. They would rather murder their own child, than face the embarrassment of an out of wedlock child.  I would be embarrassed to vote for him, and I would be embarrassed to have his name plastered on the back of my car like most of these loving Christians around here do.


I personally know women who have been raped by trusted men in their lives. I know women who were molested and raped by trusted men in their communities. The psychological effects are on-going. It never really goes away. I think that anyone who goes through such an emotional tragedy should be embraced by their community, show them love and support regardless of their decision. Let the woman involved make the decision for her own health, mentally and physically. The criminal should be caught and sent to prison for as long as the courts would allow. There should be plenty of raping for him in prison. The punishment truly fitting the crime.


I know if this idiot believes such an outlandish statement, there has to be more! I just couldn't fathom words, the product of rape is a gift from God, coming out of my Atheist/Anti-Theist mouth. Thank God I am not a Christian. The act of rape is damaging beyond imagination to those of us who have never had the displeasure of the act being inflicted on us. So, why in the hell do we have someone who does not know anything on the subject making the decisions for those few. Where are their voices?

Man that you fear....

What is it that we fear the most? The most primal of fears, the one thing that brings out every instinct our mortal bodies has to offer as a means of getting around it. It is most of the reason why our human adrenal glands have not evolved smaller than what they are today. The reason why our frontal lobes of our brains are still so small. Evolution ever so gently, slightly holding these muscles and chemical reactionary body reflects back, keeping us from the brighter futures within us. The prime reason why we as people refuse to sit and reason together... and just Imagine.


Death. What exactly is it? What is on the other side? Who is on the other side? Why the other side? How do we find out what is on the other side? Fact. We do NOT know the answers to these questions. All we can do as humans today is make an educated, philosophical guess.


What has the Bible put an uneducated and archaic opinion to, that science and our general moral value of today's society cannot answer with evidence, study, a well thought out hypothesis and established conclusions? What is it that continues to hold people to a superstition? When you look at a rainbow, what exactly do you think about? Do you think about the angle of the sun hitting evaporating water and thus forming the rainbow? Or do you think about God giving the rainbow to man as a gift for aborting virtually all of mankind with an over sized sprinkler? Doesn't this action make him pro-choice? He didn't want these people because he was so concerned with their sexual organs that he murdered them all! But the only humans to survive this tragic mythical event was an alcoholic who passes out drunk in his ship and condemns his son and his descendants to be man's eternal slaves because he laughs... Who has not been to college and seen something like that? Any rational person would think that maybe he deserved to be laughed at. He was 600 years old at the time, learn how to handle your alcohol for gods sake! It is just wine! I would understand if it was moonshine or Johnny Walker... But back to the point. Do you think that rainbows didn't exist before the great flood of 4000 c. If you take the flood story literal, then you must accept that you think the Earth is young and is by the Catholics math, 6,660 years old. Science says the Earth is 4.4 Billion. The Universe is 14.4 Billion years old... Give or take a few million years.


People who take the Bible literal may not all be gullible, but it sure seems a far stretch to think that things such as the flood occurred literally. This is one mythical story out of hundreds of stories in the Bible that has no moral value to it. None. Generally as a human in the year 2012, I don't think that any story in the Bible is true. None. People want you to believe these stories were passed down and documented since the beginning of time, wrong answer. The Hebrews did not have a written phonetic language until around 640 B.C.E. So, essentially 630 years before the birth of Jesus of Nazareth. So, all of this Judaic history was passed by mouth for thousands of years if you take these myths as truth. Then you have the son of a carpenter, who more than likely did not know how to read or write, supposedly has educated men following him around and documenting not only his life but his mothers life in Greek. So you have the Old Testament in Hebrew that didn't have an alphabet for eighty percent of its ancient history and then you have The New Testament stories about a Jewish carpenter that were not documented until 40 to 60 years after he was crucified. A Jews life, written in Greek, a Jews life, written in Greek. Greek! Ok, move on Justin, move on.


So, why would you believe this? What is it that you truly fear about death? What is it you truly fear about your religion? The falsity. Your own demise. Are you afraid of what life is like after you die? I will tell you everything will be fine. The Earth will spin for another ten billion years. You will again be star dust. Yet again, there will be no man that you fear.

Clearing the air

I would like to say that I have really enjoyed my first few days with this blog! I have been getting some really decent responses from everyone. I would like to say that if you send me a comment let me know through my email if I can post it, atheismbyfire@gmail.com. I have had two responses that I would have like to post but they included names. I am willing to expose myself to everyone through this blog, but not everyone wants their name out there. I hope to keep getting good feedback, questions, rants and raves. I love it and its really fun so far. Also, I have got some responses on my acknowledgement of the use of "adult language". I personally don't like to use adult language when writing something somewhat formal as this. But, I also know that some people do like to. Some people like to just to vent and let it go. I am ok with it, and it was more of myself giving the writer freedom and permission to write whats on their mind. I feel that adult language is what we as adults use at times to express our emotion at the time. In the days when I was a Marine every other word that came out of my mouth was, fuck. Now that I am a little older and a little wiser, I have generally learned that not everyone wants to hear that all the time. I worked with a guy at Ten Oaks in Patrick County that taught me that lesson. When you have to hear "fuck this and fuck that" everyday all day, it gets relatively annoying. So if you use language like that frequently in your responses to me, rest assure, I more than likely didn't finish reading it and I just simply deleted it.


Respect. I do love and respect most if not all people that I have invited to read this blog. I wish nothing more than more people read this blog to get a broader range of people to respond on their thoughts and philosophies on these subjects. Its not you the person that generated your philosophy and outlook on life, rather its your experiences and the people around you. I love all of my gene-pool regardless of what they may think about my beliefs. There has only been two people in my life that tongue-tie me to the point of no response in the matters of theology and philosophy. One being my Aunt Donna. I have so much love and respect for her, when she speaks to me on things such as this, all my heart kicks out is, "Yes Ma'am!" My brain wants to say other things, but I just can't. The other person is someone of whom I am not sure they would like their named mentioned. All I can say is that he has been a great positive male influence to me for a very long time. He has challenged my way of thinking in more ways than one and inadvertently pushed me further into Atheism by way of Christian books and the Bible. In a perfect world this man should be teaching American History and passing his wealth of knowledge on to other young men and women who need some type of guidance in their lives. Whenever we would talk about theology or when we talk at all these days, I listen to what he says and form my own opinions based off of the information he has generously given to me.


Based on my last paragraph, don't you nutbag Christians think I am a softy! Odds are I don't love you that much and I will catch you in a mythical lie quicker than you can say, Lot was date raped by his own two daughters! (Genesis 19:30-36) Notice how the author of this story blames it on the woman.

Fear and loathing in Heaven

So, it seems that I have upset a few people that I know and that are in my gene-pool over this blog. First off let me make this clear, I am not trying to convert anyone with this blog. I am merely here for my benefit and the benefit of those who like to debate or like to have conversation about the subjects of philosophy and religions. If you don't like what I have to say about your superstition then hit the X at the top right of your screen. We all have a keyboard and some type of "mouse". Although I prefer the wireless one. You may prefer the one with the wire, so that you may beat your children when they ask questions like, Why aren't there any black Mormons? Or my favorite, Why are the founders of all the major Abrahamic religions illiterate and in the case of Joseph Smith a convicted felon in the state of New York?


Secondly, I will never respect a form of belief that has murdered untold millions and tortured untold millions in order to further their religion. Atheism and certain forms of religion have been disrespected and forced into this blind ignorance for almost seventeen hundred years, if you count Judaism it's been much longer than that! So don't ask me to respect such an embarrassing part of human history. There are certain people within my gene-pool that may consider them selves Southern Baptists. I ask why? What makes you put yourself in with that type of person? Personally I thought they were Mormon. But I guess if I was given the choice between being Mormon and Southern Baptist, I would have chosen a shotgun too.


In closing, don't ask or tell me to respect your religion or beliefs. I don't walk into your church and ask or tell you and your fellow history deniers to think and rationalize! If that happened, immediately the Bible goes where it belongs! In libraries and bookstores all over the world the Bible would be placed into Mythology. I fear death just like any normal, sane person on this Earth. The difference between having faith in religion and having faith in your fellow human is reality!

Evolved Morality

So what many Christians want to know from an Atheist is, where do we get our morals? How and where do we get our conscience? The Christians and other religions think that these brain activities procured over time have got to be from a God or a creator.

I say this has come to us from Evolution. Over time our morals have improved to what they are today. Although, sometimes we as humans take a step back on our moral value, most of the time we gain the steps back in life lessons learned. Even most Christians will admit that our morals have drastically improved since ancient times (Biblical Times). When I read the Bible, like most grounded rational individuals, I see a book full of violence from rape, date rape, gang rape, animal sacrifice, human sacrifice, enslavement, beatings and murders.

The big problem that I have with a lot of this is not really the archaic, unstable philosophy of illiterate sheep herdsman, and carpenters, but the comments Christians pin on us Atheists today. Example, If God didn't give us morals and isn't there watching us, why be a good and decent person? Why not just do whatever you want and not worry about an afterlife? They completely assert that Atheists have no morals, nor do we live by any morals.

I beg to differ! We all do bad things by definition, the word sin is a word forced onto humanity by religion. I know that we all do bad things, but we also do decent and moral things without the concept of a Deity. I ask people who are superstitious, "If proof came to light that without a doubt there was not a God, no Deity, and certainly no creator of our known natural world, would you commit adultery, have incestuous relations, rape, rob and steal?" The point and fact of the matter is Christians don’t live by faith, they live in constant fear. Fear of what the Devil will do to them in the afterlife and fear what a god will do to them in this mortal life.

I mean come on! If all of these things are immoral and you should burn in hell for eternity for them, I would have to assume that Abraham is in Hell! After all, he raped his slave to bear himself a son, he was married to his sister, he was going to murder his son Isaac who was born to him by his own sister Sarah (wife), he used murderous ruthless force to steal land from other tribes, he and his followers murdered countless men, women and children during these battles. The only thing most of these tribes had done to ask for this treatment from Abraham and his imaginary friend (God), they were a different race, and worshiped different gods. So on top of all of that tyranny, this asshole was racist too! What a great moral story and example this man sets for us in today's world. I guess if I had sand in my food my whole life I would be a bit crazy too!

If you as a person, look at yourself honestly, and say that you would live a reckless life, commit atrocities against humanity and go on a war path because God(s) don’t exist, you have bigger problems than what to wear on Sunday! As an Atheist I do things that other Atheists would find immoral and vice versa. I have had some Christians go as far to say that the only reason I claim to be an Atheist is so I can live without "God's Laws"! If that isn't the dumbest statement I have ever heard! It's even dumber than saying the Earth is only 6,000 years old! Like the idiot Ken Hamm! He runs a government funded museum in Petersburg, Kentucky called, The Creation Museum, creationmuseum.org, they believe dinosaurs and humans walked this Earth at the same time! LOL! Ok, moving on. If I really thought or if I had an inclination there was a God but decided to live my life like there wasn't a God, and then confessed my "sins" to God and his illegitimate son and their pet ghost Holy on my deathbed; then the powers that be will just let me stroll into the Playboy Mansion… Excuse me, Heaven. It makes no sense at all. You are going to tell me that someone like Gandhi, will burn at the center of this Earth for not accepting the human sacrifice of Jesus of Nazareth and not accepting that he then rose from the dead on the third day but  Hitler being the standup Christian that he was, confessed his sins then let that douchebag in Heaven? Can I get a WTF?

To me, a person living like that is a hypocritical liar! Their whole life lying to their self and everyone around them!  They live an immoral heathen life, they didn't follow the rules set forth by the celestial dictator and his minions, they privately believe in their existence but don’t practice the traditions, but at the end of their life cycle, bippity, boppity BOOM! Now I am a believer, #1 Christian! Place me amongst the martyrs on the streets of gold… That would make them the dumbest person ever! That would be just flat out just ignorant! That would make them a...... What’s the word...? Christian. 

Birth of a Fire Starter

To begin my blog, I have to say that I think I have been an Atheist my whole life. It took a little intestinal fortitude to come out and say it when I was around 20 years old. Having grown up in a somewhat religious home, but not really. It was hard to admit being an Atheist and even harder to ask questions about religions problems. I grew up in a Republican household, where the values of conservatism was key. My father would bash the theories of evolution and call Atheists, 'Communists'. I remember President George Herbert Walker Bush saying,"I don't know that Atheists should be considered as citizens, nor should they be considered patriots." At that time, I didn't know what an Atheist was. I certainly didn't know exactly how ignorant and closed minded this statement was at the time. Sometimes I am amazed at how open-minded I am considering my background and up bringing.

My father was an alcoholic that lived the motto, do as I say, not as I do. He would read the Bible and tell me that our family's core values were God, Country and Family. In that order! As I got older and he began to learn more about evolution, he started to believe more in the theory of creation and evolution walking hand in hand. Even he in all of his southern baptist background couldn't deny the history of this Earth. 

Atheism has brought me closer to the fragility of life. I do not understand the mysticism behind what people think this life is supposed to bring. Why do people feel they need a celestial dictator watching them in order to be moral? Why do they feel that a deity gave us morals? If he is the one who gave us morals, then why are we, as humans, so messed up? I think individually we are at heart good and moral people. But once you put us (humans) in a large room together and have a preacher, minister, pastor and child molesters telling us how to interpret documents, that are in most cases older than 2,000 years, we are as ignorant and stupid as it gets. This level of ignorance is something that I like to call, "Southern Baptists".

As a somewhat deep and Freethinker, I do not see or feel the need for a mind reading celestial dictator in my life. When I accomplish  good deeds, I do not want someone to promise or procure me rewards in this life or an afterlife. When I do bad things, I want my punishments according to my secular society, not punishments from people with an imaginary friend(s). I acknowledge the fact that this is my one and only life on this Earth. I do not expect or want nothing more than what I can personally achieve in this mortal life and this reality called Life. 

During my blog that I hope to keep up at least through my college years, I will be discussing these things and way more topics about our lives as human beings on this Earth. I also hope to improve on my writing abilities and style to convey my philosophies and thoughts on not only Atheism and religions, but also daily life.

I welcome anyone with questions to me and I also welcome any type of debate on this and many other subjects. I am always up for good conversation and a meaningful debate. In this blog I will be using adult language at times, but only when I feel that it is necessary. I hope anyone with comments will fell free to do the same. I feel that some words are appropriate in getting a point across. I also realize that some people will debase the language and completely over use some words. I will not participate in that. I will not sugar coat anything for anyone at any one time. I also hope that any comments will not be that way towards me. I hope that I do offend people and make you think about your life and the possibilities that lie within. I want to talk and deal with life's realities. Not possibilities and archaic dream worlds. Bring up superstitions, they are what fascinates me the most, but don't expect respect for your ancestor's superstition from me or any other Anti-Theist/Atheist.
